This colorful semi-precious stone-like glass was created in the ancient technique of “calcedonia” that was developed in the mid-15^th century to imitate the appearance of semi-precious stones. The unique appearance of this necklace is created by the amount of striations of color that cannot be controlled when the glass is produced. This creates the unique appearance of the end product. Velvet pouch included.
